We are pleased to announce that the forthcoming documentary film project, WOODY SHAW: BEYOND ALL LIMITS (2018), has been chosen as an official selection for the Works-in-Progress Lab program at the upcoming 23rd annual Cucalorus Film Festival, November 8-12, 2017, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The Works-in-Progress Lab (WiP) focuses on strengthening community impact for documentaries about social justice and is organized through a partnership with Working Films. The Lab is an immersive, week-long residency in Wilmington, NC where filmmakers work with fellow WiP Labbers and get feedback from strategic audiences in the region.
Filmmakers spend 5 to 7 days in Wilmington, immersed in the community and within the festival itself. The lab will support the development of engagement strategies and includes a week of screenings, workshops, outreach, and celebratory events.
